The concept of Golden hours was introduced from 21.9.2016 on weekends. In this exercise multi-axle vehicles, ODCs and other heavy vehicles are kept on hold at particular places for nearly 4 hours to ease traffic for small vehicles and other vehicles carrying essential commodities. This has resulted in smooth traffic movement of weekend commuters on MPEW.
